I recently had my TURBT operation 11 weeks ago and everything genital related really cleared up after the week three or four. stranger enough after the week 9/10 I have had a weird tingling sensation in my left hip area and didn't know if this was common and if anyone else had experience this almost look like a nervous trapped and I'm not sure if this is related to the TURBT or this is just another problem I've had from going to the gym etc...
Has anyone else experience anything similar?
Hi Alexander55 and welcome to the group although sorry to hear you are in some discomfort following your TURBT. We often hear of various aches and pains following the procedure but always best to get them checked out to be on the safe side. Do you have a CNS to call ? Best wishes.
Hi rily,
Thanks for the response.. No i dont actually have a CNS.. i think due to the nature 0f me being young and al the tumour being removed they didnt give me one.. JUst wanted to see if it was a coomon theme.. I have booked in with my GP for next June so will have to wait for answers!
Hi Alexandra,
Welcome to this friendly forum.
We often hear of different side effects for different people. I hope you can get some answers soon.
Ask your doctor about a CNS, as I don't think it makes a difference how old someone is.
I've was given one when I was diagnosed, I was 51 at the time. I've not had to contact them fortunately.
Wishing you all the best.
Trevor
I have had some weird twinges in my side since my TURBT, and occasionally a dull ache from time to time. As they had to resect my left ureteric orifice they assure it's it's nothing just probably urine reflux into my kidney, so it's possible you have something similar causing some weird things.
But anything you don't feel is right get it checked out. I did that with these weird twinges and dull aches I get from time to time but it's not constant so just have to go with the flow.
