Evening all,
im currently on a six month break from my BCG treatment…been having trouble with anxiety but seem to have it under control at the moment, I’ve upped my Asthma inhaler dosage which has helped my breathing which in turn controls the anxiety… so all good…
I’ve been to Maggies and signed up for a stress management day course, which I hope will get me onto the six week course…also I’m in for a wellbeing starter session…
I had a run yesterday, it was slow and hard and not very far but I loved it…
the overeating is under control also, which I’m over the moon about…
I hope everyone is as well as they can be…
love to all Nigel
Evening Nigel. Good to know you are getting things under control and doing something positive. Gradually increase your running which takes you to another place while out on the road. I used to be a runner many years ago. I used to work night shifts and went running in my lunch hour. I got strange looks from motorists when they saw me running through the streets of Liverpool in the middle of the night. Best wishes.
Hi Nigel, it's good to see you back on the forum, we've missed you ️ Good to hear that you are on your 6 month break, so am I and enjoying a bit of normality.
Love to you and Mrs Nigel (and the dog), Ade xx
Hello Nigel, nice to hear from you again. I’m pleased you are OK and your anxiety and over eating problems are under control. It is difficult to understand and comprehend when you are told you have Cancer. When I was diagnosed some eight years ago I thought this is it! The end. I went to tell my children and saw the grandchildren running around and playing. That somehow gave me the resolve to carry on, to fight this horrible disease. With the love and strength of Mrs Garviv and the images of children and beautiful grandchildren in my mind I have had TURBT’s, Rigid Cystoscopies,Chemotherapy, Chemoradiotherapy, two superficial recurrences, TURP, 15 BCG treatments, endless Flexible cystoscopies….. Yet a determination and belief that the treatment is working. I remember the radiotherapy machine whizzing round and thinking Yes,Yes zap those meanies! The same when the BCG treatment was painful and uncomfortable. Attack the meanies. So far so good. The children are thriving, the grandchildren are growing and maturing and Mrs Garviv and I are here to be a part of it. The Springer Spaniel is still crazy. Be well my friend. I do hope you can get through your cancer journey well. Garviv
