Hello..I had a TURBT 2 weeks ago. After a week blood in my urine became almost clear. Now I’m peeing darker blood than after the procedure. Has anyone else experienced this after effect? Still waiting for biopsies results but expecting the worst
Hi Stockwood . At about the 10 -14 day stage, the scab on the wound starts to break away as part of the natural healing process. It is not unusual to see blood and clots at this time. It is important to drink plenty of water to keep things flushed out. As always though, if it becomes excessive or doesn't stop, then contact the medics. Best wishes.
I had blood on and off for 6 to 7 weeks before it finally stopped after my TURBT every now and then quite dark red, and every time I queried it was Told it’s to be expected sometimes.
But if you are unsure or worried then seek help for sure even just for reassurance.
