Hi all
I recently joined this forum after my diagnosis. Through reading various posts I am amazed by how many people have been diagnosed because of UTI but also how many UTI'S they had to have before referral
I was urinating blood and was given antibiotics for UTI. They didn't work.
I was given a second dose and they didn't work.
Before they were about to administer a third dose I said no I want my prostrate checked and to be honest I was quite forceful about it.
The prostrate was fine but my belief that something else was at work led to a scan and my bladder cancer diagnosis all in the space of four weeks.
UTI'S are common I accept that. But if you think it's more than that, you must make your case.
Stay positive
Mark
Hi Mark. We have seen it many times over the years where symptoms have been dismissed by GPs and treated as UTIs with antibiotics. Ladies in particular have signs overlooked and treated as other lady problems. Best wishes.
