Hello, just catching up with all the good news, Angela, Bumbledee49 et al. Mrs Garviv and I attended a lovely wedding on Friday at Mitton Hall Hotel a 15th century Manor House in the Ribble Valley. We stayed overnight and enjoyed a fabulous wedding and a luxurious stay in this wonderful, quirky hotel. We came back through the Tolkien Trail where the great hobbit and lord of the rings were born. We spotted hobbit hill and a road sign “ The Shire”.Torrential rain and very windy here now. Just watched second half of Sheffield Wednesday v PNE 1-1 yet again another draw in a game we should have won. Stay safe and dry everyone. Garviv
Hi Garviv,That sounds wonderful.Lots of trees down and blocked roads around here.My friend next door is supposed to be going to Wales I will be on cat feeding duties if they do get away but the power is down where they are headed.Have a good weekend and stay safe.Love Jane xx
morning Garviv, just spotted this post. It sounds like a brilliant day to remember. I shall google Mitton Hall for a browse. As for the draw again that you should have won ( currently in a dark room sighing .,,,) I think we are on the same frustrated page haha , honestly I am not going to blame the ref for a ridiculous sending off !!! Anyhow, must think of my blood pressure. Its very windy here today and I have lost my voice again ( mr halofan is delighted i think) so staying indoors probably watching more footy and sunday roast of coure
Much love Angela x
That's sounds great Garviv, really nice quirky hotel and a wedding. Yes been a good news week for myself and Angela, I drove from Orpington to Diss Norfolk for a night in a pub with family and back down today, such awful weather but it was all good. Let's hope for calmer weather this week. Have a good week, lots to do before the big day x
Hello Bumblebee 49 Sounds like you have had a much needed, and deserved break with family without having the dreaded “what if’s “ in your mind . My daughter in law was admitted to Hospital on Saturday morning and she is still waiting in a bed in a corridor in A&E when we left her at 6.30 this evening. Staff and bed shortages! Enjoy your week. Cold, dry and windy here. Garviv
Hello Angela, many thanks for your kind words. She was released from A&E this morning. After various procedures including a CT scan and MRI Scan she has been released back to her GP. Appointment later today. I don’t want to go into too much detail but she is still in pain but thankfully nothing serious or sinister was discovered. Mrs Garviv and I will be on school runs and various ballet class, football, stagecraft runs etc for a few days. Hey Ho No problem. Garviv
Hello Jane, thank you so much for your kind wishes. She has been released from A&E following scans and ECG tests back to her GP. The care I have had from the NHS has been 1st class but I was astounded how many people were waiting on trolleys for treatment in A&E corridors. We had to take food and drink in for her because the nurses were so busy they could not make tea or coffee for patients. The wonderful Nursing staff and Doctors are rushed off their feet. Let’s hope the new Government can sort some of these problems. Garviv
