Hooray all clear today at my 6 month cystoscopy and I'm now promoted to annual screenings! So this is my third anniversary of all clear screenings after four years of reoccurences and TURBTs. Given that when I got my diagnosis I expected to be dead before 5 years, I feel very fortunate indeed to be celebrating 7  years later. Cancer has taught me to take my life one day at a time and find joy in simple things. So here I am raising a tea cup and biting into a lemon flapjack...cheers for good health! Love to all Hx

  • Hi Angela, that sounds nice never Ben to Buxton, enjoy. We are off to Cambridge for 2 night Friday and sat, to celebrate my mums birthday, she will be 94 on Monday. Something nice to look forward to.

Yes had quite bit of discomfort this afternoon but it's eased off now so that's good. Just 2 & 3 to go.

Hope it goes well for you tomorrow take care for now Angela xxx

  • That’s great news, congratulations and thank you for sharing. Many of us here, myself included are nearer the start of our treatment journey, so it’s wonderful to have your encouraging news after seven years

  • Have a lovely time in cambridge, how wonderful celebrating 94 years for your mum.

Hope the side effects have settled BB and you get a good nights sleep

    Much love Angela x

  • Thanks Angela, we had a lovely time, weather beautiful on Friday. The walking took its toll on my mum but she enjoyed it. Back up had number 2 today so only next Monday to get through. I hope you are feeling better, so many colds and covid around. Xxx

  • I was thinking of your post today while up at Guys and thinking I really hope I get to the stage of cameras only when all the Bcg is over, still a while to go but it so helps reading your post for encouragement that it does and can happen, just got to hang in there and hope, so happy for you xx

  • Hi Bumblebee, you've got a great hospital with Guys so that's really encouraging! Also BCG treatment has been used for more than 50 years so it obviously has something going for it eh? How many doses have you had now? Mine went on for three and a half years (27 doses) but nowadays I think 15 is more normal and less brutal on the bladder. Keeping my fingers crossed for you, just take it one day at a time and enjoy the mid-dose breaks. Thanks for your good wishes Hx
