Hello Everyone, just returned from the funeral of my wife’s ex work colleague’s husband. A sad day but a beautiful service ending with Amazing grace. The internment was held in vivid sunshine with a stiff breeze. A wonderful setting for his ongoing journey. The reception was at the British Commercial Vehicle Museum where P helped out as a volunteer. A sad but lovely day and a wonderful way to say farewell.
Tonight, I am taking three of our grandchildren to watch Preston North End play Sheffield United. The first game of the season.
Tomorrow we are getting the train to Clitheroe to attend The Clitheroe Food festival and visit Bowland Brewery for street food, real ale, entertainment and music including Vintage Swing Thing- wonderful. The market and town centre are traffic free for a wonderful carnival atmosphere. A refreshing change from the events of the last ten days. Live Music, stalls and fun and laughter. Can’t wait! Have a nice weekend everyone. Garviv
Hello Angela, yes great name for a beer. At Bowland Brewery I had the Billy goat beer but passed on the Pheasant Plucker in case I got the name mixed up. My favourite IPA is Jaipur IPA. Beer has to be Timothy Taylor’s Landlord. Hope all goes well with you this week. Garviv

Stopped on a recent journey down the A1, at the Ferry Boat inn North Muskham, scarce half a mile off the main road just north of Newark, and on the Trent bank. While I got cloudy apple juice, OH enjoyed a pint of Woodforde's Norfolk Adder cider, very refreshing. And a good ploughman's lunch for us both. Perfect break!
