Hello Everyone, just returned from the funeral of my wife’s ex work colleague’s husband. A sad day but a beautiful service ending with Amazing grace. The internment was held in vivid sunshine with a stiff breeze. A wonderful setting for his ongoing journey. The reception was at the British Commercial Vehicle Museum where P helped out as a volunteer. A sad but lovely day and a wonderful way to say farewell.
Tonight, I am taking three of our grandchildren to watch Preston North End play Sheffield United. The first game of the season.
Tomorrow we are getting the train to Clitheroe to attend The Clitheroe Food festival and visit Bowland Brewery for street food, real ale, entertainment and music including Vintage Swing Thing- wonderful. The market and town centre are traffic free for a wonderful carnival atmosphere. A refreshing change from the events of the last ten days. Live Music, stalls and fun and laughter. Can’t wait!
