Hello Everyone, just returned from the funeral of my wife’s ex work colleague’s husband. A sad day but a beautiful service ending with Amazing grace. The internment was held in vivid sunshine with a stiff breeze. A wonderful setting for his ongoing journey. The reception was at the British Commercial Vehicle Museum where P helped out as a volunteer. A sad but lovely day and a wonderful way to say farewell.
Tonight, I am taking three of our grandchildren to watch Preston North End play Sheffield United. The first game of the season.
Tomorrow we are getting the train to Clitheroe to attend The Clitheroe Food festival and visit Bowland Brewery for street food, real ale, entertainment and music including Vintage Swing Thing- wonderful. The market and town centre are traffic free for a wonderful carnival atmosphere. A refreshing change from the events of the last ten days. Live Music, stalls and fun and laughter. Can’t wait! Have a nice weekend everyone. Garviv
Morning Angela, Yes it was a wonderful weekend. We had to change trains at Blackburn in pouring rain. Sheltered in nearby Wetherspoons for an hour. I had a pint of Doffcocker for £2.28p. Arrived in Clitheroe sunshine and light cloud. Wonderful atmosphere , massive crowds, street food, free samples of local produce and drinks. At the brewery live music, brilliant sunshine, we ate hog roast and I had a pint of billy goat beer. The train home was packed with happy passengers who had enjoyed a good day. Heavy rain and thunder this morning! Garviv
It’s sunny here but my mood is not.I’m having a nightmare trying to send in stuff to the DWP.
Fingers crossed I got 3 yrs of bank statements in but now I’m stuck on the ISA info which I had but has now disappeared from the phone.
I’ve had another allergic reaction which is probably stress induced.I just wish they would make it easier for those of us who are not technically minded.Love Jane x
