Hi everyone.
I had my TURBT on 12th July. The surgeon didn't remove all of the tumour due to excessive bleeding and theatre time.
I have a catheter for 2 weeks. The only good thing with that is not having to get up several times during the night for a wee.
I've been put on antibiotics as they think because my white blood cells count is high, that I have an infection.
Results will be back 2 to 4 weeks. Worrying times.
That’s good.It is a supportive group and feel free to ask any questions. There is usually someone around with the relevant experience to answer. This first stage is unsettling waiting for results. It’s common to have a second TURBT some weeks after the first.Biopsy results will confirm the stage and grade of cancer and then a medical team will meet to come up with a plan of treatment for you.Have you had a scan yet ?
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
