Hi. , after my 2 weeks referral went in I had a phone call the next day to offer me an appointment sometime in the next two weeks. At that time the lady asked me some questions then told me I would be having a scan before the cystoscope , is this normal . They will be done at different times. Is that the normal route to go ? . Thanks
Hi philw . Totally normal to have a scan. Gives them another part of the picture and is precautionary to rule anything else out. You won't find out anything on the day of the scan. Images go off to be analysed. Best wishes.

Sometimes the CT scan looks at how your system will be for the anaesthetics when given as well as any underlying issues. My last CT scan was 2 wks ago with nothing else booked into my diary until next cystoscopy sometime in March….. unless they call me in earlier 
I’ve never had to worry about Prostate tests, I leave that to the Husband.!!
