Hello Everyone, I had my second Of three BCG maintenance instillations on Thursday. Wow! I had the variety with extra barbed wire. I’ve previously had seven instillations with a little discomfort bit this time, extra strong. Because it was Friday yesterday I had to make an extra strong curry- Nisha Katona’s “ Angry Bird” which did the trick along with a couple of glasses. Feel much better today .I am going with my Brother in Law to watch our beloved Preston North End this afternoon. Beautiful day here now with blue sky and sunshine . One more instillation to go next Thursday. Garviv

Good luck Preston North End! In my experience (27 doses!) there are always the odd stingers in a course of BCG. Who knows why. I used to feel like I'd had a dose of flu for about 24 hours, then it was over. Glad to hear "Angry Bird" sorted you out. Fingers crossed for number 9. love H x

Ouch, do you think it might be something to do with who inserts the catheter?

Fingers crossed that you don't get many or any more barbed wire varieties.

Sounded like a curry was a good option.
