Hi everyone, here i am needing you all again, and knowing you are a safe space of sanctuary .
i got the phone call for the ? Recurrence . Its next wednesday morning 29th. I have learned so much since the start of this scary journey, so straight after the phone call , i went shopping to take my mind off it and exhaust myself to boot. Meditation and mindfullness is really helping me to stay calmer than my normal reaction would be. I highly recommend it. It has taught me thoughts are not facts and only concern myself if the evidence says to . Still … I know i will be very anxious no matter what ,so i will be thinking about all of you that have helped me since this all started in April.
Much love to all of you , and wherever you are on your cancer journey sending you a wrap around hug

Halofan . Hi Angela. Always mixed emotions going for a TURBT. On the one hand it is good to have a firm date, but then the anxiety rises as you worry about results. The meditation sounds a good way of keeping your mind off things. I hope all goes well. Best wishes.
Hi Angela, I had 4 reoccurrences in the first 4 years after my first tumour. Eventually after 27 doses of BCG I started getting all clear cystoscopies and thus far all clear for past 32 months. It's just a case of one step at a time. Good luck with your TURBT. Well done with the meditation and mindfulness, I might see if that helps with my latest problem which is an arthritic hip. I'm in the queue for a replacement but it doesn't get the priority that cancer does so it may be some time. I'm trying to feel positive that despite bladder cancer I've lived long enough to wear out my hip Sending a hug Hx
Hi Herothedog,
thankyou for the hug and best wishes, really appreciate them. I loved your living long enough comment, it made me smile , what a brilliant way of looking at things. Hip pain is difficult to feel positive about and hard to cope with, I hope you get seen soon.
I read your profile and you have been on a rollercoaster. Its great you are now getting all clears . It really helped me reading it herothedog, I am still in my first year of this cancer journey and its easy to think the worst when the check up comes. I shall take inspiration and comfort from you all on here. Before the last 3 operations, while waiting to go down, i read the forum threads and it really helps me.
much love to you Angela x
