Hi lovely’s, not been on here much but thought I’d post this just to give new people hope. Today I went for my 23rd cystoscopy and happy to say all clear.
11 years ago tomorrow I first went to the doctor with blood in my wee, luckily he didn’t mess around with infections but sent me straight to urology. New Years Eve 2012 I got my results pta grade 3. I had 15 BCGS before the world shortage hit us all. After that it was just cystoscope, They asked today if I wanted to carry on with yearly checkups which I do.
Good luck to you all and wishing you all the best on this journey xx
My OH's diagnosis was also G3 pTa. It's a lower stage even than Stage 1. So the G3 is the type, described as 'aggressive' which tends to scare the pants off people, but the stage is how far it's progressed. So with stage pta it's been caught early and should be very treatable despite the high sounding grade.
Hope that helps
Hello Sue, good to hear from you and brilliant that it is another all clear cystoscopy. I was a bit behind you with diagnosis in 2017 but I remember reading your supportive posts about BCG which cheered me greatly. The BCG shortage was over by then, so I followed you down the BCG road but got the full 27 doses of the Lamm protocol. and so far all clear for 2 and a half years. Fingers always crossed! I'm still on 6 monthly checks but when I get to annual ones, like you I intend to continue for the foreseeable. Enjoy life Sue, we all know how precious it is. Sending love Hx
Always so happy to read your post Sue and so glad you do still post, gives such hope for us going through it now. So happy that your journey has been a success. I am 15 Bcg/Mitomycin in and so far one clear biopsy and one clear camera, next one next month, pray its a clear one. Keep well and it's great news all the best Tracey.

Like yourself my GP didn't mess around and I started and continued to recieve my treatment at the start of covid, my first 6 treatments April/May 2020.
I just had my 27th ( and last) BCG yesterday and been in very bad pain since. The most pain I've had in over 3 years,
