Hello rily, that's so nice that you remember me. I remember you too. My last two cystoscopies were all clear, thank you for asking. So happy about that. Next one on is 20th Sept so I am gearing up for that. I think the BCG treatment has enlarged my prostate. Got all the main symptoms anyway. Didn't know there was a dedicated prostate group - I'll take a look. I hope you too are as well as any of us here can hope to be. xx

Hi trynab_stoical . Good to know things are going well for you. When I was first diagnosed ten years ago, I was told I had an enlarged prostate. Thankfully, it has never caused me any problems and it has not been mentioned since. Hope all goes well for you. Best wishes.

Interestingly I am In a somewhat similar situation with an enlarged prostate which I put down to all the BCG treatments & cystoscopies so far. This was not originally highlighted as a potential side effect. This ignores biopsy & TURBT operations. That’s quite a lot invasions down urethra  and bladder hence enlarged prostate.

My leucocyte count is always high - I think because of an inflamed urethra - suspect that's a factor too. I wonder if our enlarged prostates will improve over time if the frequency of trans-utheral interventions decreases?
