Hi friends, I'm thrilled to say this morning's cystoscopy was all clear. That's me off the hook for another 6 months ( because of many reoccurences I'm not yet promoted to annual screenings which I believe go on for life with thanks to the NHS. ) My CNS did the cystoscopy which made me very happy as I find her more adept with the camera, and less painful putting it in. I'm so lucky to benefit from her consistent skilful care over past 6 years since my first diagnosis. Now 22 months after my BCG treatment completed, it was reassuring to see my bladder looking less angry and inflamed, and particularly good there were no nasty tumours. The 3 and a half years trooping in to the hospital for 27 BCG doses was worthwhile. Phew! I left the Urology dept repeating the required mantra "I will drink, drink, drink" 
Home to a glass of lemon barley (thanks Denby xx) possibly something alcoholic later.

I had a cystectomy 8 weeks ago after 15 treatments of BCG.
Unfortunately after I went on to 6 monthly intervals between maintenance treatments I had a tumour recurrence which was extremely aggressive.
I was advised to have bladder removal and although shaken rigid, I have come through and am doing really well. It didn’t prove to be nearly as traumatic and difficult as I imagined!.
I now have peace of mind and sleep through the night.
