I was diagnosed with Bladder Cancer and Prostate Cancer last year. I had a TURBT, and was prescribed Mitomycin for six sessions afterwards. So far so good. I duly went for my mitomycin treatment, but they couldn't get the catheter in because my prostate was to enlarged. So it was postponed. I was then given a Holep on my Prostate last October/November. I was peeing like a carthorse after this. Great stuff. Anyway, most of this year I have not been able to replicate this. In fact all I could get was a very week flow. I intended to visit my Urology clinic last week. but they beat me to it and sent me an appointment for today, which I duly attended. The Luton and Dunstable is excellent for this as they operate a walk-in system. I had a camera down the old man, and the Consultant pointed out that he could not get the camera into my bladder at all. So now I have to have another operation to cut open the bladder, otherwise I cannot have the Mitomycin treatment, and because he could not get the camera in far enough, he doesn't know if the cancer in my bladder has returned. He also told me that my Prostate had been removed during the Holep, which was news to me. So, I am back to square one. Onwards and Upwards.......
