I don’t have the same issue myself with either of my stomas but there are numerous items available to help with this, where you can use seatbelt protectors which protect the stoma.I can’t put links here but you could use Google to ask the question and it will throw up a lot of solutions. I do feel for your husband as it’s horrible to have the bag burst like this, but hope he can find something suitable to help.
