Wishing a tranquil Christmas and a peaceful New Year to all. 

Very few cards sent and very few decorations up as an October bereavement has sapped my usual great enthusiasm for all the celebratory trimmings. But determined to make up for it next year. So my sympathy to everyone else who has reasons be it their own or loved ones' health challenges or other factors for not feeling festive. 

We did find great comfort at this time in the traditional worship at the village church last night and this morning, our own usual modern style church having no service on.
