Hi all
i was due to have a flexible cystoscopy yesterday when they checked my urine everything that could be in it was, so they haven’t done it, waiting to see if it’s an infection and need an antibiotic, was asked if I had any symptoms of a water infection only ones I have are bad abdominal pain through the night, not seeing very often and when I do it’s very slow, should I be worried?
thanks everyone
Good afternoon Julie1812 and welcome. Over the past two years I’ve had several cancellations because of possible infection, it’s a simple precaution to avoid any problem. In all cases the procedure was carried out after antibiotics and in a short time later. Best wishes, J
Hi Julie1812,Have they told you what they are worried about ? So sorry you are in pain.Hopefully it’s just a bad infection that will respond to antibiotics.I’ve had cystoscopies cancelled due to infection. It is frustrating but it’s much safer to wait until urine is clear.Best wishes Jane
No they haven’t Jane, well I think they are worried because I can’t have this rescheduled until February, as I’m due to have a hernia repair next week
maybe that is the reason they said they need me to recover for 6 weeks after this operation
julie
