HI I was diagnosed Stage 1 Grade 3 in march had tumour removed then second turbt and on to BCG I've had the 6 induction sessions but started to experience joint pain in legs and hips after number 5 my left hip bone feels like its burning constantly my consultant has stopped the next sessions for now and I have a CT scan next week just wondering if this is a common side affect of the treatment the consultant said its unusual to be connected but I'm not so sure thanks in advance hope everyone is doing as well as they can be.
Be interested to know if this might be a side effect. I have only had one dose of bcg so far.
First 2 were fine apart from the stinging even after that it was copeable, but I also have heart problems and poor circulation so it maybe something to do with that I'm sure the scan will confirm, then hopefully start the next round of BCG hope yours goes well
Hi willow1. Not had the pleasure of BCG myself but been here long enough to know it can have far reaching side effects. Some people sail through it but at the other end of the scale others have symptoms similar to yours. I hope the medics can find a balance for you. Best wishes.
