Just thought I’d update you all on how Im getting on as not been on bladder site for a while but have been on other sites for my husband.
14th Nov I had yet another all clear and I’m so please and realise how lucky I’ve been. It’s 10 years ago this month I first went to the doctor with blood in my wee. Turns out I was pta grade 3. I had 15 BCGs then there was a world shortage so that was that no more BCGs just check ups every six months until now and now yearly, they did want to discharge me but I asked for another year, been discharged back to the doctors is a bit scary in this day and age.
So that’s it for now, just letting you all know it’s very doable and I’m very grateful I found this site 10 years ago. Thanks x
Oh god I am so pleased to read this, these sort of posts are so encouraging to someone like myself just starting out on my bcg journey. I had G3 Pt1 and so I love to read of a success story, thank you
Hi SueCC, lovely to hear from you again and that your 21st flexi was all clear! Brilliant that BCG did the job for you despite the original high grade diagnosis. So encouraging for everyone to know there is hope. I've had 27 BCG doses and 14 cystoscopies over 5 years, and a number of TURBTs because of reoccurrences, but my 6 month flexi on Tuesday marked 20 months all clear. I'll be raising a Friday evening glass to good health and I'll be toasting you too. Love Hx
