Hi all, just about to set off to the hospital for my 6 month cystoscopy. Previously I was getting 3 month checks so this is the longest I've been without any investigations since 2017! No matter how many times I get it done of course I'm nervous about the results, and not the least thinking about having the camera pushed into my urethra. I was such a frequent flyer I think I'd got used to it happening and after 6 months hospital-free somehow I've forgotten how it feels. Still summon up my courage, cross my fingers and get on with it!
I'll let you know how it goes later. Little splash of Exmoor colour as a cheer up. H x
YES! Hooray..... what a marvellous hospital visit it was. First of all I arrived to discover it was my fantastic, devoted CNS doing the cystoscopy (and nurses are far more skilful with a catheter than doctors I've found) and secondly it was all clear!
Both by eye and from results of cytology no evidence of cancer. How grateful I feel for the care provided by the NHS and from the bottom of my heart I am shouting "GIVE OUR NURSES THE PAY RISE THEY DESERVE!"
Hooray,I’m so happy for you,I hope you have got something celebratory to enjoy.Love Jane xxx
