Good Evening All
Hope you're well, or as well as can be. My partner has recently had TURBT operation, and 2, 1cm tumours were removed.
Still waiting for the results, 4 weeks on.
Before his op, he was experiencing hip pain, and it appears to be more painful, even after a month. Is this something that is common ? He's worried that It may have spread, but at his age, 45, wondering whether its Arthritis.
Hes not had any kind of body scans, just Ultrasound for the bladder.
Thanks In advance for any help

Hi em444. The aches and pains following a TURBT usually subside after a week or two, but some people take longer. There is always the possibility of an infection following an op, so it may be wise to drop a sample at your GP to check. Has your partner been allocated a CNS which is usually the first point of call with concerns? Your partner should have a CT scan at some point. This is usually to rule anything else out. We always overthink these aches, but they are usually associated with the op. If no CNS, then try your partner's consultant's secretary. Results are usually back within a couple of weeks, and then it depends on availability of appointments. Best wishes.
