I had my TURBT 2 weeks ago and am still waiting for my case to be discussed at the MDT meeting, hopefully this Wednesday. I am still feeling tired and find it difficult to concentrate on anything. I also still have urethra pain especially when moving - is that all normal? I last had blood in my urine last weekend. I am obviously frustrated that the consultant or cancer nurse don't seem to want to tell me the result, even though they will have completed the biopsy. All I really want to know is whether I have cancer as I can then deal with it mentally ! Any treatment discussion can then come later. Very frustrated - needed to vent my feelings !!!
Hi Jim. It's still early days for you after your TURBT. It can take up to six weeks for the wound to heal and anything strenuous can aggravate it. Tiredness is common. Your body is till recovering and some people have lingering effects of the anaesthetic. Also, about his time the scab will be peeling away and passed in the urine. It is important to keep dinking lots of water to keep things flushed out and prevent blockages. The waiting is never easy. You should get an appointment to discuss results, hopefully face to face, but there are a lots of phone consultations nowadays. I hope all goes well. Best wishes.
