Hi everyone I was diagnosed with cis bladder cancer 2020 and have been having bcg treatment and regular cystoscopy..thankfully I have been clear .. last week I had a blood test and it revealed high lft levels the gp phoned me and said I needed a ct scan and more blood tests ...I had a letter this morning to have scan next Wednesday...it really shook me up I was so anxious and was very tearful imagining the worse ..I have been coping with the bladder cancer quite well but with this again I feel so down and worried.. sorry to be so down but I really don't know what to expect..love Tina xx

  • Hi Tina, great that you have been clear so far, and really glad that your team have been so efficient in reacting to your blood test results. Brilliant you will get your scan so soon, waiting for tests feels like a nightmare. Not surprised you are feeling tearful about a possible reoccurrence. I had 4 lots of tumours pop up during the course of my 3 years BCG and I felt pretty demoralised each time. All removed by TURBT, now just got through my first all clear year since 2017, healthy and happy. Keep the faith your team will sort things out. Sending hugs H x

  • Thank you xx everything going so fast for scan is really good but just scares me x

  • Hi Tina,Are you on any medication ? I was wondering if it could be a side effect if you are.Best wishes for the scan and blood tests.Love Jane xx

  • Yes Jane I've been taking blood pressure medication for many years ..they used to test my lft at the start of me taking it but not for a while now ..I have also been taking antidepressants this past year .... I was so upset this morning when the date for scan came so quickly ...I was crying in front of my husband and really don't like doing that ..I've been so positive but just seem to be thinking all worse scenarios xx  hope you are keeping ok thank you for messaging Jane xx

  • I really hope it’s a side effect.I only asked because I had problems with mine, all totally abnormal due to taking Cimetidine. They went back to normal once the drug was stopped.Love Jane xx
