I just had bladder removal Monday. I stand up and it’s like I’m peeing on myself. What do I wear?
Hi 7grandkids. I have not had RC, so not much help, but let me welcome you to the group. A bit late on a holiday evening, so maybe not many people around tonight. Lots of experience here, so stick with us and keep looking in, and I am sure others will be along to help when they pick up your post. Best wishes.
Hi,Sorry to hear you have leakage. It can happen.I had it for some weeks after the op.There are different makes of pads you could try and see what works best for you.I’m sure the others can advise on what types are best.I wore loose fitting trousers as my stomach was swollen for a while. How are you feeling ? Best wishes Jane
Do you mean full bladder removal? What urinary diversion do you have? Presumably you are still in hospital, in which case they should supply all your needs. After that, District nurse can help.
If you mean you've had TURBT & are experiencing leakage, then you need to buy your own pads. I recommend sourcing online (eg ageukincontince.co.uk ) as it is cheaper & more options than in the shops. There are pads of different absorbency & shape, often you can get samples to try. Best wishes.
