Hi, I am about to start immunotherapy and was wondering if anyone here has been on this drug?
I had a radical cistectomy 2019. Which went well but cancer metastases in 2021 so I had chemo now the cancer in lungs liver bone and pelvic lymph nodes.
Hi Julia and welcome to the group. This treatment does not come up on here very often. Hopefully, someone with experience of it will be along. There are some older posts if you put Pembrolizumab in the search bar at the op of the page where you may get some information. I hope all goes well. Best wishes.
Hello Julia
My husband had 5 cycles of Pembro - for metastases after successful chemo and radiotherapy (bladder). I know the drug has worked really well for a number of people and reduced the metastases. It didn't do that for him -although it did stabilise things for a bit. The good news was he didn't have too many side effects - mainly fatigue. And they moved him to another drug which is suiting him better and reducing the metastases (slowly).
Hope the Pembro treatment goes well for you. It can be a real winner for some.
