Hi can anyone tell me how long pain in groin area and penis is expected to last after surgery to remove bladder after cancer diagnosis.
Hi Jim,So sorry you are in pain.I hope the men will be able to advise you about this.Drinking plenty of fluids and regular pain killers should help.I always found a hot water bottle helpful for bladder/groin pain. The first couple of days are usually the worse for pain.I hope you feel better soon.Best wishes Jane
There can be all sorts of pain, aches, twinges for some months post RC. Some can be nerve damage, some from muscles re-awakening & general re-arrangement, scar tissue etc. I found as I got more active, there would be different areas affected, although I had one particular area that was prone to feel sore for years after. If it's so bad that you can't move, or feel you need pain relief, probably worth asking the medics. Hope you feel better soon.
