Are TURBT ops being cancelled because of COVID?

Hi ern007. Not heard of any cancellations so far, but things are changing daily. I had an op last week and two of the guys in the ward were having TURBTs. Had to travel to Barrow where several theatres were in full swing. Try ringing the consultant secretary for info. Best wishes.

Hi rily, I had my pre ops 12th December - i thought i was in before Christmas, mine is none muscle invasive but aggressive  -  I went to hospital last week where I am having the op and was seeing a doctor about a cancer on my toe, which turned out to be a false alarm.  I mentioned my TURBT and she did not seem surprised but said, I would here soon..

I was only diagnosed 9 months after original blood, I had treatment for UTI twice - good idea I will wait out the week and ring her Monday.. 

Hi ern007. As well as phoning the secretary, phone  your hospital and ask for the urology waiting list department to see if you are on the list. Best wishes. 

Yes I will thank's  - Did you have to self isolate before you went into hospital, i did in August.

Hi ern. I had a covid test  2 days before my procedure and had to isolate before my op.  All was well. Best wishes.
