Op coming up

Hi Waffledog, I too have had no contact with GP, except one brief phone call re post op bladder infection.

On my last TURB, the pre Assessment Nurse had a stinking cold, and my op was two days away. She said don't worry if you get my cold your op will go ahead. Not sure if that's true or not but I would imagine if you are at the end of your cold you will be fine. Good luck.

I forgot to add that I turned up for a Turbt once and found I was running a temperature.They were very short staffed and my urologist ended up fetching a fan in the hope my op could go ahead.After the fan,paracetamols and a chat with the anaesthetist they went ahead.I had I.V fluids and paracetamol when I came round.
