Hi all

my husband had bladder cancer back in 2018.  He had chemo and was told he was all clear.  Around 10 weeks ago he suffered a stroke and off the back of that found that the cancer was back.  Unfortunately the most aggressive form.  Bladder removal would be the ideal option but t be of the stroke it’s not an option.  Really hard to deal with

  • Hi and welcome to the group. Sorry to hear your husband has had a recurrence of his bladder cancer, but we know this is not uncommon. It must be tough for him and your family. Bladder removal may not be an option, but here are usually other treatments to help. Has he had any treatment at all since being diagnosed? Best wishes.

    Best wishes to All,   rily.

Hi thank you for your response.  No treatment as yet but he is due to have partial bladder removal and part urethra removal in January but they can’t guarthat will remove all the cancer

  • Hello Artylove, sorry about the reoccurrence, I'm sure it was the last thing you needed on top of a stroke. Sounds like medics feel partial removal will help situation. There are never any guarantees with cancer but there are a huge range of treatments to help delay progressions. Thinking of you both. x
