macmillan card

i was talking to a mate of mine friday who has prostate cancer,he showed me a macmillan card saying he was having cancer treatment and needed a toilet can you help.what a fantastic idea.

  • Yes it's amazing. I haven't needed to use it for that yet but it came in very handy when I was at the optician's with my 5yr old grandson and they were asking me lots of questions but I didn't want to mention cancer in front of him, so showed them the card and we were able to talk in code (ha ha) without him knowing what we were talking about. 

    I have also purchased a radar key for those times you are desperate and cannot queue.

  • I had a can’t wait card when I had Interstitial cystitis.I never used it but John & I have used our radar keys.There are not enough facilities out there,so many toilets have been closed.It is a problem if you suffer from a bowel or bladder disease.Love Jane x

  • My husband has found his toilet access card very helpful on several occasions, getting let into staff loos in shops. He has used several loos in bookies but they are always awful, gamblers must be far too unfussy to put up with them.

    As regards the 5 year old grandsons I'm trying to tempt ours into learning French [I did A-level] by using it to discuss cadeaux [presents] de Noel etc, which gets him all curious! -daughter and son-in-law both have bits of GCSE French left...
