Hi,On our health centre website it says it is the patients responsibility to check test results and follow up with the surgery if you have any questions. Is it the same at your doctor’s ? Love Jane x

  • Ours don't venture into commenting. I am fed up with them as not only can you not book an appointment online any more, you can't even check what appointments you have coming up. I have queried it twice and just get flannel. Yesterday it was something about people turning up at the surgery when they should be waiting in for a phonecall. TBF I have had calls saying your test results are Ok or you need an appt.

  • Hi Denby,One of my gripes is you get conflicting information. The doctor I saw last month said to make an appointment to discuss the x ray results. That proved impossible. She also said if anything showed up on the x ray she would phone, that didn’t happen either.I didn’t get a call about the abnormal urine result.I’ll have to see whether they will respond to my e Mail yesterday.Love Jane x

  • Hi Jane. I'm very fortunate, our surgery text to let you know if results are back and text again with an appointment if they need to see you because of the results. I can also ask for a print out of any blood tests etc with no charge. However, my mum struggles to get results at her surgery and then has to wait a couple of weeks for a telephone appointment to discuss them and another week to get a face to face appointment. All the waiting is very distressing for people.

    Sending love to all

  • Hi Clare,Your surgery sounds good.I don’t think much of ours and would change but not being able to drive makes it difficult.I had an incredible GP where I lived before but sadly he died of cancer. Our health centre struggles to keep decent dr’s they always leave.I have a phone appointment next Tuesday with the GP I saw last month.Love Jane x
