How is everyone doing?

I'm feeling lighter if that's a thing, I have not had a single weepy moment for 5 days! I'm pretty proud of myself. Ha ha

The sleep is still hit and miss but we can't have everything can we.

Sending love to all

  • Hi Clare,Good to hear you are feeling lighter.I’ve been feeling low but seeing my sister today has been a huge boost.Having my 2nd Covid jab on Sunday.Love Jane xxx

  • Hi winkers60

Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling like yourself. I feel much happier for having my second jab a few weeks ago and hubby has now too. The older 4 kids have had their first jabs now too so just the teenagers left. Smiley

My daughter has just completed on her house in the next village, can't wait for my little munchkins to be 4 mins drive away........

Is your sister close enough to see more frequently?

  • Hi Clare,My sister Sarah lives about 9 miles   from me.We formed a bubble in the pandemic as my partner John was shielding so I couldn’t see him.I saw Sarah every week on the doorstep in the first lockdown as she used to pick up shopping for me.I haven’t seen her lately as someone ran into the back of her car.The car is fixed now.I can’t drive which was never a problem until we moved here.It will be great to have your daughter living nearby.Houses are selling well in our area of Somerset.I need to make some money to pay for vital repairs to ours. There are more birds living in the roof than I can cope with ! Love Jane xx

  • Hi winkers60

It's strange being able to see people after so long isn't it. I have been seeing my munchkins when my health has allowed as they lost their daddy in September its been a tough time for them.

Good to hear the car is fixed again.

We seem to have bees nesting in our loft here and the red kites like to poop on my car ha ha

Lovely part of the country you live in I'm not surprised houses are selling well. The Vale we live in is just an hours train ride from London so properties selling fast here too but we don't get the lovely weather you get down south.

  • Oh that is tough losing their dad,I was 12 when mine died.It will be good for them to have you near.I live right on the borders of Dorset and Wiltshire so there is some lovely countryside nearby.Love Jane xx

  • Aaarrgghh, moving furniture today. What a logistical nightmare.I’m trying to swap bedrooms so that there are less stairs for my partner John who has a rare muscle disease.I shall need a lie down when I find the bed.My sister and I are supposed to going to see mum on Thursday. We are both looking forward to seeing her but dreading it as well. She no longer recognises us,dementia is so cruel.Love to you all Jane xx

  • Hi Jane

I've just treated myself to a bacon sarnie for lunch before I go into a 4 hour conference call. I have warned them I will need regular toilet breaks...ha ha..... I still can't hold it. Hey ho

I seem to have the decorating bug at the moment, it all started when someone gave me their lino offcut for the downstairs toilet.... now I've done two bathrooms and the main bedroom and I'm itching to start decorating the family bathroom. Ha ha....... poor hubby.

Be nice to see your mum but I know what you mean, with dementia you feel the loss of that person before you've lost them (if you know what I mean).

  • Trying to move furniture is so frustrating our minds are so eager to do it but our bodies soon put a stop to it Upside down hope your mother will be pleased to see you sometimes little sparks of recognised appear .. you are right it a terrible disease xx take care x

  • Hi Clare,How did the move go ? I hope your munchkins are settling in.I love decorating, well painting anyway.I’ve never tried wallpapering.Hope you don’t need too many loo breaks during your conference call.Did you get your fish & chip supper ? Love Jane xx

  • Hi Jane

They all moved in..... its such a relief to have them all settled. Smiley fish and chips were amazing.....just spending a day with hubby away from everyone was amazing. Ha ha.

I love my family but 6 children, 3 grandchildren and both our parents are becoming more dependent on us sometimes you have to run away for the day. We usually leave the country for long weekends but that hasn't happened since Malta in March 2020.

Oh I miss my little jaunts away...... Sob

With reference to decorating, I'm the opposite, I love wallpapering and hate painting.

    Sending love

    Hope all goes well Thursday
