Hi I'm hoping that you are all well.
I have just watched the daily briefing .
And was wondering what you thought are on if we are likely to he one of the first to get the vaccine x
It's the elderly and vulnerable we are told will be vaccinated first, but there does not seem to be any firm plan as yet. The concern I have, is that has the vaccine been tested on anyone going through cancer treatments such as chemo. As far as I can see, the vaccine has been tested on volunteers who are mainly young and in good health. There still seems to be many questions. Just my thoughts. Best wishes.
It's obviously very promising, but I suspect when we get all the data it won't be quite such a rosy picture. I'm dubious of this 90% efficacy. Were all the volunteers exposed to COVID for instance?
Still, it's light at the end of a tunnel. I don't expect to be invited for a vaccination until maybe late Spring at the earliest.
I'll feel more confident when there are more types of vaccine coming through, like the Oxford one. I agree rily, we need wider testing....will us excruciatingly vulnerable ones even be fit enough to tolerate the vaccine? But it is hopeful news.
