from holiday & had flexi today, another recurrence for me . Got a bladder scan on Friday too. Just awaiting a date now for the rigid, should be in the next 4-6 weeks.
Hope everyone's as well as can be expected. Group hug from a 2 metre distance, & masks on please unless you're exempt xxx
Hello Blanket, welcome back from your hols, bad luck on the reoccurrences. So that's you, me and Christine111 all with reoccurrences and all in the queue for a TURBT. I've had my pre-op assessment now waiting for the date. I have to have a covid test 3 days before the op. I'm hoping it will all happen next week, fingers crossed for us all. xx
Sorry to hear of recurrences, hope all your TURBTs come through soon and go well. Denby
I am sorry that you all find yourselves with recurrences.I hope you can get your TURBT’s as quickly as possible.Love Jane xx
Sorry to hear the flexi news fingers x you do not have to wait long for the TURBT ...sending best wishes to you x
you
Thanks so much for all of your good wishes & support guys, I love you x
Gosh 3 of us H! All the best to us. I was a bit shook up yesterday knowing that I would have to wait for the rigid. As due to my recurrence my Uro used to launch straight into this, so I bypassed the Flexi. It's the waiting & thinking, & wondering, & after many recurrence (& it's been 14 months since my last TURBT) I secretly hoped that it would've miraculously disappeared.
That All Inclusive did me the world of good Riley, the beer, & wine, & cakes ..... galore. There was hardly anyone at the airport, it was like being in a horror movie just before the zombie's appear. The people that were there kept their distance, then we were all squashed on the plane together I was pulled aside for a COVID test at the airport. Then at the hotel they checked our temperatures thrice a day before meals, they supplied the rubber gloves, & face masks too. So apart from the plane thing it was safer than home I thought.
Hi Blanket, I always wish it would magically disappear too ....shame our hopes were dashed. Apart from the reoccurrence which clearly none of us wanted...did you prefer the experience at your new hospital with the new team? Have you got a new CNS with a better attitude?
This afternoon I got my TURBT date just confirmed as next Monday 16th, but to be honest if I hadn't phoned up the booking department today I'd still be on waiting list since they hadn't even opened my pre-op appointment notes, the admin worker read them out as I was waiting on phone. She said the surgery lists have all been in upheaval because of covid pressures. Op will be 28 days since flexi. I tried to be as supportive and undemanding as possible but I'm afraid I did use the c world to explain why I wanted a booking sooner rather than later. So give them a couple of weeks and then chase I reckon. xxx
