Are you all getting your appointments on time mine is overdue from June gets a bit worrying xx
Hi Chrissy. It can be worrying when checks are overdue. Have you given them a ring to check you are on the list? I am mid way between checks, but my last one was more or less on time. Reading posts across the board, I think there is a big difference depending on where you live. Latest news says hospitals are filling up again with Covid patients. I hope treatments are not put on hold again as there is already a big backlog. I hope you get seen soon. Best wishes.
Hi,They are running about 3-4 months behind for scans at our hospital. My phone appointment with the urologist was meant to be last month but I have heard nothing yet.The scan I had in September was due in May.I hope you hear something soon. The waiting around is never good for anxiety.Love Jane xx
My next cystoscopy tomorrow was 2 months late. Given rising R rate I'm feeling lucky to squeeze in. I think you should ring and check, they ought to be able to tell you how late their lists are running. xxx
Hi Riley
I have been for the cystoscopy they have found 2 more tumours so I have to get them removed but I have allso recveived a letter to go for a scan an ultrasound this is not the normal procedure so now I am worrying why do you think they are doing this xxx
chrissy
Hi Chrissy. sorry to hear they have found a couple more tumours. Hopefully they can get rid of them for you. An ultrasound will give them a bigger picture of what they are dealing with before your TURBT. Best wishes.
They have never done this before do you think it is getting worse xx
chrissy
Hi Chrissy, bad luck on the new tumours. I'm also currently waiting for a TURBT date for same reason and this is my 4th TURBT. When I had my third lot of tumours I was also sent for a scan. As it coincided with 2 years after my initial diagnosis scans, I was under the impression it was the routine to scan every couple of years. I don't think anyone can tell that things are worse until they do the TURBT and the biopsies. I know it's hard not to worry I feel much the same myself. Sending love. x
Thank you so much you have put my mind at ease I have not had a scan since I was first diagnosed 7 years ago good luck to you this will be turb number 22 for me it really is scary times xxx
