I have to decide between a neobladder and a urostomy. I want to know what it's like to have a neobladder from a female viewpoint. My urology nurse could out me in touch with men who have one but not a woman. Any members have a neobladder?
Hi and welcome to the group. I cannot help with your question, but just to let you know we do have ladies here with a neo and I am sure will be along to help when they pick your post up. Best wishes.
Yes, I'm female with neo. You do have to be prepared for initial incontinence during the training period & there is a significant risk of needing to self catheterise to fully empty. I do this, but don't regard it as a problem. The aspect I dislike most is having to get up every night to empty. But overall I am very happy with mine - now 9 years old.
