Hi all had my second TURBT on Thursday this was originally scheduled in March but postponed due to Covid 19. A different experience from first op this one at private hospital you get your own room and tv. Very nice still subject to a list so in at 7am but not operated on until 1.30pm. Op went well smaller tumour and no chemo wash this time. When I woke up they had already removed the catheter so that was good. Consultant happy with how it went just waiting for biopsy results now. So all in all despite the four month wait a better experience than the first turbt in 2019. Feet up for now ! Best wishes to all.
Hi AllotmentP. An insight in to how the other half live eh? Good to hear it went smoothly. Having the catheter out so so soon is a positive. Take it easy for a while. Hoping you get good results. Best wishes.
Hi AllotmentP glad all went so smoothly. Fingers crossed for good news from the biopsy. x
Hello Deli1577
I managed to get a flexible cystoscopy (after 3 month wait) the day before the lockdown at a private hospital in Preston. The hospital is located on an industrial estate opposite the crematorium mmmm
The rooms were sterile and similar to a new office complex.I did not stay overnight but everything was clean and comfortable. The setting is bizarre but the procedure was carried out by my NHS consultant quickly and effectively.
No champagne or chocolates!

Hi All update I just had biopsy results in showing small superficial recurrence deeper biopsy also taken from the bladder shows no spread thankfully. Back in October for camera check consultant advised me if October cystocopy check shows reoccurrence then it’s 6 weekly chemo sessions but putting that to back of my mind all good this time so fingers x for next time best wishes to all.
Hi AllotmentP,That must be a relief to know there is no spread.I hope you can relax a bit until the next cystoscopy.Love and best wishes.Jane x
Good news AllotmentP. Well done relax and hope for good news in October. I had superficial tumour last year that was removed. Since then two flexible cystoscopies both all clear. Garviv
