I had both my TURBT ops at a private hospital, it was like a spa weekend but with less swimming pools and more catheters! Glad it went well and you’re feeling positive xx

I managed to get a flexible cystoscopy (after 3 month wait) the day before the lockdown at a private hospital in Preston. The hospital is located on an industrial estate opposite the crematorium mmmm 

The rooms were sterile and similar to a new office complex.I did not stay overnight but everything was clean and comfortable. The setting is bizarre but the procedure was carried out by my NHS consultant quickly and effectively.

No champagne or chocolates!

Great news AllotmentP. 
I had a similar experience at one of my TURBTs. No catheter etc and they used diathermy to burn the tumour off it was so small.

Hi All update I just had biopsy results in showing small superficial recurrence deeper biopsy also taken from the bladder shows no spread thankfully. Back in October for camera check consultant advised me if October cystocopy check shows reoccurrence then it’s 6 weekly chemo sessions but putting that to back of my mind all good this time so fingers x for next time best wishes to all.

Good news AllotmentP. Well done relax and hope for good news in October. I had superficial tumour last year that was removed. Since then two flexible cystoscopies both all clear. Garviv
