The informative uplifting support on here is great. Im not sure if im on here too much but Im always reading up other peoples experiences, some help and a lot make me really anxious. I think its that stage where I dont know yet what im dealing with so cant direct my energy the right way. Presumambly things will move quickly soon. Im trying to stay in the present moment which isnt easy. I read statistics and feel sick. Its just shit adapting to no guarantees.
Thanks both. I'd forgotten about the weight loss.
It was weight gain for me after breast cancer, but I was never very big so it wasn't so bad apart from belly got me. I went out & got myself a new wardrobe, then a few months later I had to do the same again, charity shop loved me as I walked in with my suitcases. Oh I love a tunic, & my leggings & jeggings, & shorts or a dress in the summer. Actually I had a lovely pair of comfy black trousers from M&S, they were fitted & comfy, bit flared, but I could actually pull the top bit right up to my boobs, they could also be folded over. I used them as my flight trousers for a few years.
For a male take on clothes for bladder cancer,, I have adopted the wearing of a utility kilt. The advantages are many: Getting dressed in the morning is so easy: you just wrap them round and clip the studs. No underwear, so spending a penny is much less of a problem. They come with huge pockets, which can carry secateurs, seed packets, wallet and my phone. The only bother is the ironing of the pleats. But I ha not yet worn them in winter.
My clothes are a bit like like Trigger's broom, still wearing the same stuff as 25 years ago only it's bigger these days!

I may appear to be listening but in my head I'm all at sea.
Us in the country wear tracksuit bottoms and jumpers in the winter and chinos and t-shirts in summer. Wellies all year round. I do have some jeans which I save for best
Hi Sunshine, I had the same diagnosis as you and I opted for cystectomy and Neobladder 15 months ago after researching this myself. I am now fit and well and enjoying life. I can now run with my dog and my grandchildren. I hope that all goes well for you with surgery. I can honestly say I did not have any pain post surgery and although a slow recovery I am back to my normal fitness level and free of cancer. I hope that this helps you going forward. Take care.

Hi Pineapple Did you have leiomyosarcoma also? They told me it is quite rare to get this type of cancer in the bladder. Thank you for sharing your choice with me, I think in my local hospital they do not have many cases of the neobladder patients to help with my decision and the risk of complications has scared.me a little and the long recovery time. So I have opted for the stoma instead just waiting for a date now for the operation.
Hi my hospital didn't offer Neobladder either. So I opted to go to another hospital to have this done. My research also revealed that recovery is longer and there can be more complications with Neobladder. I have to self catheterise to be able to pass urine, but i I am still pleased with my decision. However the Stomas these days are very discreet and recovery will be quicker. So it's a question of what you feel is the best option for you. I guess the point I was making in my previous post is that there is life after cystectomy no matter which option you take.
Mine was a high grade cancer but not exactly the same type.
I hope you have a speedy recovery and I hope that all goes well. You will always have support on this forum, there are amazing people on here. Take care
