Hi All. How is everyone doing? Anyone stuck indoors? Remember, this is a support group, and things don't always need to be medical. There is usually someone here if you just want a chat, a moan, or any stories. My wife has been stocking up on paint, so guess what I will be doing in the near future. Best wishes.
I think I’m getting ectopic beats can feel them in my throat as well as the chest. It’s weird. At least I haven’t got the impending doom sensation I had with Pericarditis.I’m sure they will get to the bottom of what is causing them.I’ve run out of cheese so I’ll have jam on toast.John is taking his mum shopping today and we will go tomorrow. We can’t all go together as there is not enough room in the boot for all our groceries. We used to have to take mum with us but it was very stressful with the wheelchair assembly in all weathers.I hope your review goes well.Jane x
Hi Jane. From what you describe, I agree with you that your palpitations are likely from ectopic beats. Your recent stress with house etc might have triggered it. I, myself, started having quite a lot of ventricular ectopics in February, just before I was going back to my work after my RC. I’ve had all sort of investigations including ECG, echo, 24 hour holter ECG monitoring, CT coronary angiogram and Cardiac MRI. No cause found. Diagnosis: probable stress from restarting work. Have been put on a tiny dose of beta blockers but still having them intermittently. I shouldn’t have gone back to work!!! But the NHS won’t let me retire that easily!! Good luck with your investigations and house sale. X
Hi Hopeful,Sorry to hear you are having problems too.I’ll probably need to go back onto beta blockers.I can’t even remember why they were stopped it was so long ago.X
That is the problem Phil.If I had been able to get it on the market over 3 years ago I’m sure it would have sold.It was in better condition then but the house was full up and I had to empty it.That took me a year as I was doing it alone. My savings went on bills and new parts for the boiler.I need a property developer really. If they come from the London area they will be getting a bargain and could still make a good profit. It’s a shame that viewer with money found a place closer to her friends as she viewed it twice and was keen.I’m trying to stay positive but it’s getting harder with each disappointment.X
My review by the GP today was good in that I was able to make them aware of my concerns, mainly about the occasional frank bleeding and the associated mood dips. They assured me that they would refer me to urology when they advised it or if I requested it. As my symptoms, according to my diary, are relatively stable and have been since early 2019 I don't think an immediate referral is necessary. When I see urology doctors who are sometimes called in during my A&E/SDEC visits if I've been bleeding, they seem to have the same view, so we are all in agreement. It's good to know that the review is on record and was reassuring having a discussion with the doctor today.
Hi Jane and everyone,
I am not sure if i should put this on here , I have just received a text supposedly from the DWP looks very official about last chance to apply for the winter fuel allowance ! I began to get suspicious as I am 1 year off being a pensioner and the text began with +63 mobile number which is in the phillipines! I didnt open the link thankfully , but forwarded the message to scam number that I found in the guardian newspaper. Just giving you all the heads up to be cautious if you get something via text. Hope this helps
Much love Angela x
