Hi All. How is everyone doing? Anyone stuck indoors? Remember, this is a support group, and things don't always need to be medical. There is usually someone here if you just want a chat, a moan, or any stories. My wife has been stocking up on paint, so guess what I will be doing in the near future. Best wishes.
It’s very windy here. Was too tired to go in the garden yesterday and kept falling asleep.Today I’ve repackaged all the broken china and done some sorting in the room of doom utility room.It is considerably emptier than a few months ago.Sorted the majority of my grandfathers sheet music out. Most is over 100 years old as he was born in the 1880’s and it’s not in good condition having been well used.I can play the piano but not to his high standard.I found some interesting articles in newspapers on line about dad’s ancestors and some were musical and theatrical which I never knew before.Others met very tragic ends which was sad to read.It all adds to the family tree information. We are all related on dad’s side which makes it easy in some ways.Love Jane xx
A little blue sky here in Somerset.Still sorting but making progress at long last.Moved onto the kitchen bookshelves where there are numerous instruction manuals for various jobs.I can’t see me putting down tarmac anytime soon so that one went on the out pile. Some of these go back to the late 60’s early 70’s
There are more books for the book rescue place when I can get over there. My aunt is hoping to come down again later this month or the beginning of November.I know I waffle on but posting does help me mentally as I’m very lonely.Love Jane xx
Hello Jane, sorry to hear you are a bit lonely. Are there any charities that will collect the books? Dull, cool and still here. My golf competition was called off yesterday and the course closed today after 37mm of rain. Keep posting all your friends on here welcome your thoughts. Garviv

Thank you Garviv,I hope you are back to golf soon.A lot of the roads around here are flooded.John said the river had burst its banks in one of the villages and there were diversions.I haven’t found a charity that collects books locally.I have rehomed a lot of stuff. My aunt has done a great job rehoming some items she took back home with her.She knows so many people and charities etc so the sewing and stationery items have found new homes. The vets and animal rescue centre here had some things too.It was very overwhelming at first because the rooms were all so cluttered but I have worked quite methodically and they are all a lot emptier. It was hard for mum when her dementia got worse as she would forget where she put things.Looking after her was a full time job so I never had enough time for sorting. It’s all looking a lot more organised now.Love Jane x
Jane you can waffle as much as you like, you keep us all going. I am so sorry that you feel lonely. I know you miss your mum and the house has been so overwhelming to sort her things out before sale. I wish we were all close enough to help each other out , but going to send you a wrap around hug instead.
The shocking weather doesn't help at all, being stuck inside I find gets me down , does it do the same to you ?
Much love Angela x
Thanks Angela,I’ve always been a homebody so being indoors is usually fine.I am fed up with all this rain though as I can’t get on with the garden.I don’t mind working in light rain but torrential rain is a bit much.I’m sure things will be better once I’ve moved.I’ll be able to join something and meet new people.
Our friends here have either died or moved many miles away so it’s a very different situation to a few years ago.Back then we all socialised and it was a nice group to be part of.I never get bored but I do get lonely without mum.She was such a character and great fun.Going shopping shortly so it will be good to see John.Love

Hi,Cyclamen and ? borage from the garden this morning. My partner John had a fall at home yesterday so he is feeling sore today. It is a concern that his muscles are getting so much weaker. His dad had the same muscle disease but John’s has progressed much faster.I did a bit in the garden but not feeling good today so have come in now.We both struggle with the ups and downs of our health as it does limit what we can do.It has been good to see the sun today.Love to you all.Jane xx
Hello Jane, those pictures are most appreciated. Thank you. Sorry to hear John has had a tumble. I hope you both feel better soon. Lovely sunny day here with a cool wind. Really exhilarating playing golf this morning. Flu and Covid injections this afternoon. Later visiting our granddaughter who is 15 today. More cake! Garviv

Just carried up 7 full drawers and one full plastic crate up from the shed to sort out indoors. There are lots more flower pots to be recycled at the garden centre.
I might have to dismantle the carcass of the cupboard the drawers were in.I’d planned to do it up but on inspection it’s only fit for the tip.Hoping for a flatter garden when I move all these levels are tiring.Love Jane xx
