I am now back with you all .I had to call 111 the weekend as I was in so much pain they sent me back to Southmead had to have a CT scan then they kept me in on IV antibiotics until today when they sent me home with antibiotics tablets as I had a infection hopefully I will be now on the recovery road again hope you are all well and coping with this awfull weather we have x

Hard luck Woodyl, infections are a nuisance. Well done for grasping nettle and getting back to hospital. Hope your recovery goes smoothly now. x

Good to hear you're on the mend and went back to Southmead. Always the right decision IMHO.

According to my anaesthetist, 85% of cystectomy patients develop an infectious complication post op so best to expect that and get back to hospital pdq.
