Tumour found during cystoscopy on 6th February - had turbt on 7th March and got results that its transitional cell carcinoma - Ta1 which I think is good news - he did tell me that there is a 50% chance of re-occurrence but close monitoring going forward so I guess that's the best scenario.
Hi . That sounds like a promising result. It looks as though it was picked up in early stages which makes life easier. A 50% chance of recurrence also means a 50% chance of no recurrence. If you have not been offered any maintenance treatment other than monitoring, then that is a good sign. Wishing you well going forward. Best wishes.
Thanks so much Rily - it's been tough to get any information to be honest - I had to push for all the tests and I just got a phone call with results - there isn't much information here in Ireland so this site has been fantastic - continued good health to everyone here
Was you told the grade Tess or is the 1 the grade? Xx
That's about as good as you can get. Even if it does recur, there's a good chance it will still be low grade & just need removing. Just make sure you have regular checkups.
