Hi guys.
I'm a 52yo man.
On 13th July i was diagnosed with a suspected tumour. On July 26th had my TURBT Operation and was then informed that i had stage 1 of Bladder Cancer and have been given all my appointments for BCG starting in 2 weeks time. All is well in myself but i'm still aching a little bit, more annoying than anything else, but today a new pain arrived in the way of almost a stabbing pain in my right hand side groin area and my back has been hurting too.
I have been drinking plenty yet i don't feel %100 pain free when passing urine, usually a pain occasionally at the base of my penis ...
I'm so new to all of this so i really don't know what to expect ....
THank you in advance for any info or help you may be able to give me xx
Always check with pharmacist or Dr, have you thought of taking gut friendly bacteria capsules, as having had diarrhoea whatever the cause, will have messed up your gut flora.
The other thing is after a TURBT you have essentially got an open wound/s in there that needs to heal. If you have gone straight back to normal physical activities, work etc, you may have unwittingly hindered the healing.
But overall, don't ignore it, keep on pestering till you get it sorted.
Hope all this helps, Denby
Hi larry1952
I'm 46 had a turbt and mitomycin 8 weeks ago tomorrow and I still have a sharp pain in my bladder and it still hurts when I empty my bladder.
I have grade 2 pta. I also keep having urine tests at drs but they are clear. Gp just says I need to be patient. I thought the pain woudl have subsided by now.
Sending love
Clare
Hi I had turbt about 8 weeks ago. T1 aggressive nest.
Awaiting Rc beginning October.
I recently started have pain across the top part of my navel.
not sure if it’s because I had a round of golf or it’s something else.
not sure how quick this cancer spreads or I have just a over active mind thinking the worst. Wee and bowels seem all ok
Morning Leezel, sorry to hear you are having some pain. Do you have an identified CNS who you can telephone? At this point while you are waiting for your surgery I would definitely contact your urology dept with any concerns you have. In general with bladder cancer medics don't seem to worry about spread during waits of a few weeks, particularly since the TURBT would have removed anything showing up. We as patients however all worry a great deal about waiting between treatments, it's the worst part of the experience. Sending you best wishes for your RC. The rounds of golf will be good preparation for your recovery. x
Had turbt to dig out 2cm tumour 7weeks ago and still getting stinging when peeing. Up every hour or so to pee with pain. No sooner back in bed and I'm up again. Sometimes it's intense pain when try to start the flow, literally a dribble then start again which seems a little easier. Deep breathes can sometimes relax it and make it flow for a while. Controlling the pain till subsides and then slowly let it go can help a little. I'm on my 3rd BCG out of 6. Hope the pain goes by then. Three month break and cystoscopy check midway. Could possibly be 3 yrs treatment of catheters and BCG.
