Good evening all, from having a radical cystoprostatectomy in March this year and been told the cancer has all gone, and having a CT scan and results been told are excellent and nothing there via cancer nurse. I'm now seeing consultant again tomorrow as they think it's back in my only bit of water pipe. Had a camera down on Friday and the dreaded white cotton wool like lump was there again. Had a MRI scan yesterday so will hopefully find out soon what it is. I'm hoping it might be just a massive infection
Neil
Evening Neil. Sorry to hear your news after all the good news you have had. I hope it's just a blip and turns out to be nothing significant. Best wishes moving forward.
Hi Neil. This sounds very similar to my own experience. Biopsy after cystoprostatectomy showed cancer cells extending to the margins of the urethra (water pipe). I opted for a precautionary urethrectomy to remove the remaining water pipe about 8 weeks after the first operation. Just one night in hospital and sore for a couple of weeks but a relatively minor operation to put my mind at ease. That was March 2024 and all scans clear since.
