Sounds horrible for you. Pain killers and a ridiculous amount of lemon barley water I felt helped me through it.  Recommended by the wonderful people on here! Hope the next set is much less painful. X

Yes I have always got a bottle of barley lemon in but thanks for the advice 

Hi Forestranger, I hope your pain is easing off….i had a similar experience with the BCG, i had antibiotics for the bladder inflammation but also some antibiotics for the prostate (which relaxed my prostate helping me with the toilet situation… ) 

my CNS also gave me “bladder washes”

if the pain continues maybe speak to one of your urology team for some options…

I too drive for a living so know how difficult it can be…

Yes it has not been good this last 3 chemo I just can’t to seem to be able to go properly my bowels just don’t want to work , I have been taking vibagel but I am still up every hour and the pain in my lower stomach is so painful

Your side-effects sound remarkably similar to mine, except that I have also had haematuria and cramping pain in the left loin. I have had 12 so far and another three to go in six month!!!! The severity increases with each dose. Some say that if the symptoms are severe, then it is working; highly controversial as there are people who have no symptoms and yet are free of recurrence many years down the line. I was so desperate that I am using a Sound frequency machine set at 528 Hz for healing overnight. It seems to be working, but takes a few weeks to notice the results. 

I am dreading the next 3 in December it is now two weeks after my last bcg  and I am still in pain having to go to the toilet every time this pain comes back I can probably go about 2 hours now without not going to the loo but the pain is that bad I am bent over I can’t stand up straight I am worried it is my bowel not my bladder as I have a lot of wind these days

Bowels are a pain, during chemo (the Gem/Cis type before bladder removal) I had terrible constipation - in fact I have always had problems but this was worse - mainly because they give you anti-sickness tablets to stop vomiting. It improved a bit after refusing to take them and I was drinking my usual 2 litres of water and eating lots of fruit - plums, oranges etc   5 servings a day again as usual. But what really helped was broccoli soup - the family made it by the gallon. A bowl a day worked well.

I do occasionally use medication but that seems to stop being effective quite quickly. Broccoli is very helpful for me at least. Worth a try?
