BCG: first round complete

Hi 9Neil . Good to know you have got through BCG and great news on the all clear. The words we love best here. We know there may be a chance of recurrence which is why we are monitored regularly but don't worry about that and enjoy the now. If people ask about me, I say "I'm all clear- at the moment". Good health going forward.

Recurrence can happen of course, the BCG course and maintenance sessions are there to stop this happening. The BCG is a long journey.

I used to say that I've been told my Cancer is gone, but need treatment to stop it coming back. 

I do get what you mean though, one moment we have cancer and the next we don't. My understanding of cancer at the time was very limited (still is I guess), but assumed a cancer diagnosis meant something very different to my understanding now. Especially with BC.

I'm no longer having treatment (BCG) but will be monitored for some time.

If I get a reoccurrence then I know there are treatments again.
