I am due to start my first BCG immunotherapy session this week. I have read that I have to keep the BCG in my bladder for 2 hours after instillation.
Do you have to stay at hospital for 2 hours or can you drive home and go to the toilet later (I know about the bleach thing!) or is it not comfortable to drive after instillation?
I'm a 68 year old male who was diagnosed with bladder cancer type Ta HG in February and have since had 2 TURBT operations to remove the tumour and check the muscle of the bladder for reoccurrence (thankfully negative so far).
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
