My dad (91 yr old diabetic) went through chemo and radiation for stage 3 last year. Initial follow-up MRI showed a couple "residual" spots....Three month follow-up MRI showed the spots had doubled in size. Docs said no more radiation but they could try another chemo. Dad decided no more treatment. I support that decision.
My question is about blood in his urine. For several weeks, he was passing lots of blood and clots. Then for a couple weeks, no blood/clots. Then again for a week....and so on. I guess I assumed that it would just happen and stay that way. This coming and going is weird - and the hospice nurse doesn't get it either.
Thought I would ask here. Anyone have a clue as to what is happening here?
Thanks for any thoughts you can offer. And may you all have peace.
